It is the place where the Benedictine nun from Gubbio led a life of prayer and penance and, according to tradition, where miraculous events occurred. The cave was renovated during the second half of the 20th century with a floor in stone and new walls, a new parapet and a staircase. On the other hand, the chapel presumably dates back to the 19th century. To reach the hermitage that flanks a rocky wall you need to climb 430 steps, of which the last 52 are in stone and very steep, while the rest of them are in wood.
